NEC Digital Cinema Projector Operation

Operator training is one day course intended to for the theater manager or projectionist that will operate the equipment on a daily basis and consists of the following topics:


  • General digital projection concepts and terms
  • Basic projector operation
  • Lamp and filter changes
  • Basic server operation*
  • Loading content
  • Loading keys
  • Creating a play list
  • Scheduling a show

* The server section of this class is intended for the NEC/Doremi server. If you have a different server please contact us.

The installation class is a two day course intended to for a technician. This class will cover all topics required for the installation of an NEC projector, and includes the following:


  • Introduction to Digital Cinema
  • Overview of NEC projector operation
  • Overview of IP addresses
  • Hands-on electrical connections of NEC projectors
  • Hands-on mechanical setup of NEC projectors
  • Hands-on software setup of NEC projectors
  • Updating NEC projectors

  • Prism/Formatter replacement
  • Convergence
  • TI software
  • ICP recovery software
